Voltaic is a type of energy derived from energized particles. there are voltaic creatures, colloquially known as Stitched, manmade creatures - both animal and human.

"If it had a brain a nervous system, the parts could be used for making a stitch, or voltaic creature."
The quality of a Voltaic is indicated by the placement of its stitches - with a poor quality Voltaic having joins in visible and/or inconvenient places.
