Experiment

The twisted Academy creations that pollute the world. They come in a wide variety of forms and functions.

Mass produced academy creations that are available to the public may not count as experiments but could be treated similarly. Nobility technically counts given their makeup but like any hypocrisy inherent in a system it instead gives them overwhelming privileges.

There are various protocals on how to deal with experiments. Even sapient experiments are generally not given a name and referred only as 'experiment'.

Composite

Frankenstiens children<ref name="R1.1">Composite - Individuals formed of many pieces or parts. Parts may be flesh or flesh and machinery. Parts may be interchangeable, either in the short or the long term. Includes those who are physically reworked to accept external parts. Stitched and chimera fall into this category. Often physically oriented.

Lab Rat

Of women born the poor bastards<ref name="R1.2">Lab Rat - Individuals who maintain regular treatment, dosage, or alterations that alter them, often with an emphasis on the mind or allowing additional capabilities. Often fit somewhere on a sliding scale where, at the one end, they can self dose (Wry Man) for relatively mild gains, or moderate gains at a tradeoff, and at the other end, they require facilities. The subject may change in the long term as a result of sustained treatment, often with gains in one respect and losses in another. The mind is almost always affected as a consequence of ongoing treatment.

Vat Babies

Glass mother and wire mommy and sock mum<ref name="R1.3">Vat Babies - Experiments born in a lab, not a womb. Typically very carefully raised from an early point, with accelerated aging through the early years, careful training and adjusted metrics, as they are built for a special task. Mind and body may be altered as part of the ongoing process, but are often a roll of the dice in terms of the doctor's ability to control the end result. Includes wholly original life and clones. There is an emphasis here on capabilities, or on utility, either directly (Ashton) or indirectly (Mary; priming her for training, mindset).
