Voltaic creatures, colloquially known as Stitched, are manmade creatures - both animal and human.

Description

"If it had a brain a nervous system, the parts could be used for making a stitch, or voltaic creature."

The quality of a Voltaic is indicated by the placement of its stitches - with a poor quality Voltaic having joins in visible and/or inconvenient places. A good quality Voltaic have the joins and scars kept hidden just out of sight, under the chin, or in places where clothes could cover them. <ref>"Twig", Taking Root 1.2</ref>
