War Beast

An umbrella term for the myriad monsters and creations made as front line troops in the many wars of the Crown Empire.

These creatures are speculated to commonly be female to facilitate litters when more copies of the beast are needed.<ref name="15.8">“Warbeasts?”

The Wynn generation of War Beasts were created about twenty years before the start of the story. They commonly feature the ability to expel a dark colored nerve gas. This gas is a byproduct of the beasts internal process, and it can cause the throat or eyes to stop working, lose of control of the sphincter, and for women, lose of bladder control.<ref>"“Probably a nerve gas,” Lillian said.  “If he’s about twenty years old, then he’s part of the Wynn generation of warbeasts.  A lot of them made their own from internal waste and byproducts.  I’ve read up on it, a little extra because Ibott said he was thinking about giving Helen a reserve.”
